"Charles Mingus was a great musician, composer and arranger. His music is very exhilarating, that is why I am attracted to his music. I found him to be an easy person to work with. There is some gospel in his music which I found to be in good taste. Ths musicians on this CD enjoyed playing these compositions as you can hear, because they all like Charles Mingus music."

Reviews of "Tribute to Charles Mingus"
This is one of Beckett`s finest albums. Biscoe is a dynamic frontline partner, and the rhythm section is excellent. Two of Beckett`s pieces are performed, including one of his very best compositions, Intimate Feelings, the performance of which is one of the high spots of this highly focussed album.
(Ian Carr, The Rough Guide to Jazz)

Any new Harry Beckett album is welcome but this is a real treat - lively, passionate and moving. (Peter Bevan, Northern Echo)
